The novel I read was "Nights in Rodanthe". This novel is so beautiful. It's by Nicholas Sparks. My favorite author. He is so good at what he does it's so amazing. This story is about a woman named Adrienne and a man named Paul. Adrienne has had a few family problems. She is recently divorced with two kids. Her ex-husband is trying so hard to get back with her. Trying to convince her, turning their kids against Adrienne, he tells the kids that Adrienne is a bad person and isn't willing to fix their family. Okay so anyways Adrienne has a friend named Jean and she owns a airbnb in Rodanthe, North Carolina. It's a beautiful house right next to the beach. Jean was going away and needed someone to substitute for her. Adrienne offered to host for a couple of weeks while Jean was gone. Paul had to fix something he's had on his chest for a very long time so he decided to travel to Rodanthe to take care of business. He decided he wanted to stay at the one Adrienne was hosting for a couple of weeks. They got along right away. Adrienne was keeping her distance from Paul because as a host she didn't think it'd be appropriate. She cooked for Paul the first night he was there. She thought it would be nice if she gave him his space while he ate but he asked her to eat with him. They had a nice conversation and bonded. Ever since that night they hung out. They grew a relationship and started gaining feelings for each other. Since it was just both of them in a huge house it's hard to resist and not gain some sort of relationship. They fell in love with each other and wanted to be together so they got together. It was time for both of them to go home. Adrienne went back to her house and Paul went to South America to help his son help people in need since they're both surgeons. Adrienne and Paul still kept in touch even though they were miles away from each other. They wrote letters to each other. Adrienne still lived her normal life and raised her children and kept ignoring her ex while Paul was also living his life doing what he loved. A couple of months pass and Adrienne hasn't gotten a letter from Paul so she starts to get worried. Then she gets a visit from Paul's son. He explains to her how there was a brutal storm and Paul passed away. Now this is where the feels being to kick in. Paul and Adrienne were finally in a good place and now it's all destroyed. Now there's also a movie inspired by the novel which was filmed 6 years later. I loved the movie as much as the book. If you're a fan of Diane Lane you'll love the film.
